Alexandre de Villeneuve is a French composer born in Hyères May 25, 1677 and died in 1756. Priest of Hyeres, he was received in 1697 as a chorister at St. Trophime Arles control and became a music teacher in 1701. He remained in office until 1706 and then went to Paris. He published in 1719 a church music book dedicated to Madame d'Orléans
