Bach Jesu, meine Freude, BWV 753

Johann Sebastian Bach composed this chorale prelude based on the hymn "Jesu, meine Freude" (Jesus, my joy), originally written by Johann Franck in 1650, with an original melody by Johann Cruger. Bach used this hymn at least six other times times as a source material, for cantatas, motets, and most famously for his BWV 610 chorale prelude, part of his Orgelbuchlein. This version remains unfinished, with only a couple of bars written out. It is part of the Notebook for Wilhelm Friedemann Bach.
